Mr. Shannell Talbert, CEO
Talsofts Solutions is owned and operated by Mr. Shannell Talbert, a hardworking and capable individual who believes firmly in delivering quality goods to customers. Over the years, he taught himself how to build websites and mobile applications after he was commissioned by the then principal of Ascot High School to install a virtual learning environment for the school. It was he who had shared the technology with the principal in 2011. Having no experience in developing or designing websites including the installing and configuring web servers, Mr. Talbert was not daunted by the challenge and decided to research these technologies on the internet. After much effort, practice and research, Mr. Talbert was able to deliever the website to the school making it one of the first schools to adopt such a technology in diversifying its teaching and learning offerings to students. During this period of learning how to set up this technology for the school, Mr. Talbert discovered that he enjoyed creating codes and taught himself how to build websites and related applications. Couple years after, a need arose for the school to produce reports for students who participated in the Summer Academic Intervention Programme. Hence, Mr. Talbert challenged himself again to develop a website entirely from sratch that would accomplish this goal. The Summer Academic Intervention Programme (SAIP) website was launched in 2014 and operated until 2016 when a complete re-make of the website was undertaken. Mr. Talbert also developed a website primarily for the Office of the Dean of Discipline in 2014 which also operated until 2016. To further augment his website development portfolio Mr. Talbert decided to create a School Management System with desirable administrative capabilities - Talsofts School Administrative System.
Mr. Shannell Talbert is an educator for the last ten (10) and currently holds the post of the Dean of Discipline at Ascot High School. He studied twice at the University of the West Indies and successfully completed his studies in foreign language instruction. Coupled with his educational attainment, his principles and disciplined approach have earned him a sterling reputation and respect from many with whom he associates. Mr. Talbert also volunteers on the Jamaica Christian Mission Youth Committee which has direction over the Constant Spring Christian Service Youth Summer Camp and the Churches of Christ Youth Convention and Sports Day. He has worked as a counsellor and a dean in the summer camps. He is also the Sunday School Superintendent at the Braeton Church of Christ located in Portmore, St. Catherine Jamaica.
Mr. Talbert ferevently believes that these technologies will dominate businesses, schooling and other aspects of our lives. In light of the aforementioned, his mission is to make these very same technolgies accessible to all.
