Talsofts Advice App provides an opportunity for people to solicit advice from qualified and competent volunteers anonymously.The concept is to allow people to seek advice about issues that they would rather not share with others face-to-face or in a medium where their identity would be known.

It is hoped that this app would provide much needed help to others and facilitate the development of a supportive community for members online. The app also has some other features which are detailed below:

• Read our advice column and comment on articles in the column. They also can like or report comments
• Solicit Advice from our column anonymously or openly. They may also receive an email when the advice is published if they so indicate when submitting the issue.
• Peruse our growing collection of encouraging memes. They can also like or report memes.
• Download and Upload memes to our meme collection library. They can also share memes from our memes library to their favourite social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram
• Chat with a volunteer counsellor online. Users' name will be visible to the counsellor during the chat.
• Manage notifications they receive from the app for different services. Users can also decide to turn off notifications
• Edit profile information and update password
• Reset password if they have difficulties logging in to the app

Please note that users are only allowed to be logged in on ONE device at a time. Logging in on another device will unlink their account from the previous device.

Talsofts decided to create a platform in December 2019 to provide young people with an opportunity to receive guidance in a non-judgemental forum. Talsofts Chief Executive Office, Shannell Talbert, solicited advice from Brandon Gray regarding the feasibility and practicability of the app. Mr. Gray was in full support of the idea and proposed some of the main features of the app. Using open source code software, Talsofts was able to create this app to achieve its goal. With its newest revolutionary approach, Talsofts aims to provide much needed guidance, encouragement and support for people to overcome their daily struggles.
